Japanese Novelist – Haruki Murakami

Do you know that popular Japanese novelist Haruki Murakami composes his novels in English? Yes, he does! And do you know why? He thought that his style was too complex and when he tried to put his thoughts on paper, he paid to much attention to phrases, trying to make them look beautiful. That’s why, even though Murakami’s abilities in English were limited, he chose to write in English. That way  he managed to remove the obstacles he faced writing in Japanese. His language became simple and all unnecessary components disappeared. Murakami found his own style and  get free from wandering in a forest of unnecessary words. He believes it made him a better writer.
